Summary:
Essential Rock #6: Stewardship is the act of taking care of something that belongs to someone else. Leaders don’t own their positions, their departments, their teams, or even their projects. They are entrusted to be good stewards of them in their leadership so they can grow results and profits.
Application:
Once we have the correct perspective and step into our role as stewards, there are three things we need to learn to do well: Assess, Invest, and Be Accountable.
First, assess the job, team, stakeholders or project that we’ve been given.
Second, we need to invest in resources so positive growth is made.
And third, we need to be accountable for the results under our leadership.
